Interfaith Forum at University United Methodist Church

A nine week long Christian/Muslim Dialog Forum series have been held at the University United Methodist Church (UUMC). The series covered variety of topics including the concept of God, Quran and Bible, Prayer and Worship, Jesus, and Religion and Values of Democracy. The first Interfaith Forum is held on March 15, 2009 at the Haslett Community Church. The theme of the forum was "Hospitality in Abrahamic Traditions". The Story of Noah's Pudding According to one version of the anecdotal story, when Noah's ark landed on a mountain, there was great joy. To celebrate the end of the flood and offer thanks to God, those on the Ark prepared a delicacy with what food was left on the Ark. Today we call the meal they prepared "Noah's Pudding" or "Ashure" in Turkish.
